Jean's background includes ten years at Mobil and Arco oil companies, first in clerical/accounting and later as an Executive Secretary. This was before the age of computer word processors, and Jean's unique typing skills made everyone give her all the difficult typing jobs of contracts, columns, and figures. One of Jean's supervisors credited her with a "phenomenal memory for numbers" and said he had never seen anyone with better typing skills.

Jean then became a Legal Secretary and, again, performed numerous difficult typing and tape transcription assignments with many last-minute deadlines. It was during her five years as Secretary to the Pacifica City Attorney that Jean was introduced to the computer and word processing programs. NOW you're talking!!  As good as Jean was on the typewriter, imagine what she can do on a computer!

Jean has been married to Daniel Darmody, the Windshield Wizard, since 1993.
